We are happy to announce the transformation of the garage into a small wine/appetizer bar---- (One of many Summer
>98 projects)----It turned out great and is now open as Grumpy=s Goat Shack. The garage was too small to park a modern car in and we wanted to maximize the space with a business expansion, yet keep it simple.
After some thought, (and the uncontrolled performances of some small children in our dining room) , we decided on the snack bar concept and plan to utilize picnic tables and a walk-up service window for patio dining in the summer season. Completely separate from the Old Dewey House dining room, Grumpy=s is fun & cozy with eight barstools,
mountain views, a TV, three-tank sink, a small restroom, and minimal cooking equipment. As always, we strive to be different by offering unique, fresh preparations, quality beer & wine selections and friendly service. The bar in Grumpy=s is no exception.
Belly up & choose from 21 different beers, including fine imports like Pilsner Urquell, Watney
=s Red Barrel, or Guiness Stout; or taste an Idaho micro brew like Sun Valley Blond, and local Teton Huckleberry Wheat, brewed right here in Victor. Wine lovers can sample the best of Idaho vines as well as choose from a dozen other selections by the glass. ALight Cocktails@(with a lower alcohol content)--- Rum, Vodka, etc., & Peach, Peppermint, & Cinnamon Schnapps shots are also available in Grumpy=s. A full-blown Liquor license is very hard to come by in this neck of the woods. While it is a bit of a set back for our new enterprise, we make up for it with a clean, smoke free, friendly atmosphere. And unlike the other bars in town, you won=t find yourself in the middle of a fist fight here.The new
AShack@ snack menu consists of appetizers & light fare: Tacos, Coney Dogs, Nachos, as well as Roasted Garlic and our own Homemade Goat Cheese(In Season), Smoked Trout, Hot toasted Panini sandwiches for the more discerning. A variety of WRAPS
=.....made with warm, festive, flavorful tortillas are filled with Chicken Caesar Salad, New Mexico Green Chile with Sausage,or the Oriental Chicken Teriyaki with Rice & Veggies to name a few.In the summer we hope that by offering an alternative to the dining room, we will be able to accomodate more of the serious diners, and still be able to service the family groups visiting the area.
